Aqua Terra Performance is a seaside fitness studio started by two fitness enthusiasts, Esther and Niall.

Our fitness, yoga and stand up paddle (SUP) studio is a reflection of our love for the ocean, fitness and wellness. We think fitness and getting active isn't just about losing weight and looking good, but about living healthier and happier lives.

We've worked hard to make our studio as welcoming and inviting as possible:

  • We don't believe in aggressive monthly contracts
  • We always keep class sizes small and intimate, so you get the attention you need
  • We welcome people of all ages and all abilities
  • And we love working one-on-one with clients to help with their specific needs

We've also filled our studio with tons of plants and natural light. You'll feel like you've escaped the city and settled into a much more relaxed pace of life once you step through the door to our local seaside retreat in Stanley, Hong Kong.

I specialise in working with pre and postnatal clients as well as clients who are new to exercise.

I am a firm believer in targeting structural balance and improving technique. This is essential for establishing a strong foundation to build upon.

From there I use progressive strength and conditioning programmes designed to improve mobility, reduce fat and increase lean muscle mass.

In addition to being a certified personal trainer, I am a swimming instructor and have been a competitive rower for over ten years.

I grew up in Hong Kong and have always maintained an active interest in sport, particularly water sports. My passion for health and fitness was reinforced during university, where I captained the women's rowing squad and joined the British Army Officer's Training Corps.

When I am not at the gym or in the pool I teach people how to row and often compete at regattas and adventure racing.

I am our resident yoga instructor and paddlesports coach.

On the mat, I love working with students new to yoga, as well as with athletes looking to mobilise stiff muscles and aching joints that are in need of a good stretch.

On the water, I love taking out guests to see a green, sunny and salty side of Hong Kong a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

In addition to being a registered yoga teacher, I am a stand up paddle board (S.U.P.) instructor and a competitive outrigger canoeist, dragonboat paddler and sailor.

I grew up in Hong Kong, Singapore and the U.K. I developed a passion for exercise and living healthily while training as an officer with the Singapore Armed Forces.

When I am not on the mat or on the water I am cooking healthy veggie meals, managing the 'admin' side of the business and planning my next adventure.
